This certified Florida General Lines Online Self-Study Course meets the Florida education requirements for those who have completed at least one year within the last four years in responsibile insuirance duties as a full-time bona fide employee in all lines of property, casualty, surety, health, and marine insurance OR completed at least one year within the last four years of responsibile insurance duties as a licensed AND appinted Customer Representative (4-40), Personal Lines (20-44), or Service Representative (0-55) and are seeking a 2-20 General Lines 2-20 Agent License. It is designed to prepare students to sit for the Florida State Insurance Exam to obtain the General Lines 2-20 agent license. Included in this course is information on Personal Auto, Homeowners, Dwelling, Flood, Personal Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property and Liability, Workers Compensation, Bonds, Aviation, Marine, Crime and Health.
The Self-Study General Lines Licensing course is available 24/7 and access is granted for up to 6 months. The State Manual is required for the course and this Product option INCLUDES the State Manual.
Certification requires the course to be completed with a score of 70% or greater. The course consists of 10 Modules with a quiz at the end of each Module. When all Modules have been completed access to the Final Exam is granted. There are a maximum of three (3) attempts to pass the Final Exam. If the Final Exam is not passed on the third attempt the course must be repurchased. The Final Exam contains 160 questions with an alloted time cap of 3 hours and 20 minutes.
A state exam, license application, and fingerprinting are required for licensing.

The Florida General Lines Agent 2-20 License allows individuals, once appointed by an insurance company, to transact insurance for the following lines of coverage: property, casualty, marine, surety, health, and miscellaneous lines both inside and outside an agency office. The license also authorizes the licensee to open an independent insurance agency and appoint Customer Representatives (4-40).
