The 60-hour certified Surplus Lines Course is designed to prepare students to sit for the Florida state examination to obtain a 1-20 license. The Surplus Lines licnse allows licensed individuals to transact the placement of insurance coverages with unauthorized insurers and to place such coverages with authorized insurers as to which the licensee is not licensed as an agent.
